If you’re looking to rent a holiday cottage on Royal Deeside, look no further than Bridge Cottage in Kincardine O’Neil.

Bridge Cottage has 3 bedrooms and is located in the village of Kincardine O'Neil immediately to the East of the 13th Century Kirk. A short private drive leads from the A93 to private off-street parking and Garden. The small garden extends from the front of the cottage to the Neil Burn. The garden is enclosed and should contain a small dog. A bigger dog, perhaps not.

The property can sleep up to 6 in 3 bedrooms with a further two potentially accommodated on a sofa bed in the sitting room. It is comfortably furnished throughout including Washing Machine and Dishwasher, TV, CD Player, Telephone and Iron. There is an outside, lockable, fishing rod box. There is full oil central heating plus a log stove in the sitting room.

Rent: From £516 per week including VAT. Included in the price are electricity, oil, logs, linen, towels and cleaner. You are expected to pay for telephone calls using an honesty box.

There is also a comfortable sofa-bed (2 people) in the Sitting Room.

Local services include Post Office and General Store, Filling Station and Public House.

The Kincardine O’Neil Post Office cum General Store goes from strength to strength. It has all the general requirements and has an excellent little delicatessen bar. It also provides delicious soup and filled rolls for your picnic lunches.

If you pre-order provisions from the Post Office (Tel: 013398 84201) before leaving home it saves having to carry supplies with you while helping support the local shop. They’ll even get the stuff into the fridge for you before your arrival.

There are excellent grocers and a supermarket in Aboyne for wider choice.

Note for those who are less mobile: Bridge Cottage is not suitable for wheel-chairs, however it is fairly suitable for the less mobile. There is one step into the lobby / dining room and then 2 more up to the kitchen. Thereafter, with bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor, there are no more stairs to negotiate. By using the front door the 2 internal steps can be avoided.

Lets are generally from Sunday (after 4.00pm) to Sunday (before 10.00am) to suit fishers but there is greater flexibility on dates outwith the main fishing season (March - June).
