Kincardine Castle Reception Rooms

Kincardine Castle was built for entertainment, a job which it does as well today as it did on the day it was finished. The Castle's reception rooms and grounds are capable of hosting events of all sizes. The main entrance leads upstairs to the principal reception room, the Great Hall, which you can see in the photograph below.

The Great Hall

The Great Hall (Above)

The Great Hall is a spectacular welcome to the inside of Kincardine Castle. It is a versatile entertainment space dominated at one end by the carved granite fireplace, and watched over by trophies from successful days in the field. The Great Hall has been used for dances and formal dining on many any occasion, in addition to its more everyday function as a relaxing living room. Our concert recitals and receptions are held in the Great Hall, and the other reception rooms can be found directly off it.

The Dining Room

The Dining RoomThe dining room is located just off the Great Hall. It is capable of seating 24 people at the main table, with space for another 18 (12 in winter) at the side tables if desired. The Dining Room is used for most of our formal functions although we can also arrange for the Great Hall to be set up as a dining room if greater numbers are required.

The Drawing Room

The Drawing Room is also acessible from the Great Hall and is wonderful light-filled place to relax and chat after dinner, or at any time of the day.
