Facilities
Access: Castles aren’t easy places to adapt for access, however we do have wheel-chair access to our Meeting Room on the ground floor where we also have a bedroom with en-suite bathroom which has the layout and space requirements but not the rails and handles of a full disabled bathroom. Unfortunately at present the bureaucrats who think they have the job of ‘protecting’ listed buildings have proved an obstacle to widening the doorway into the bedroom which is 730mm wide and a tight squeeze for a wheel-chair. Work in progress!
We also have assisted wheel-chair access to our Principal Floor via a long grassed ramp. Again on this floor we have a bathroom with the layout and space requirements but not the rails and handles of a full disabled bathroom. All the doors on the Principal Floor are wide enough for wheel-chairs.
Accommodation: 15 Bedrooms with a total of 26 bed spaces of which 12 rooms have en-suite bathrooms and 3 have private bathrooms. More info...

Organised events: In conjunction with an activity provider we can produce a range of activities on site. A convenient alternative is to utilise the facilities of the nearby Deeside Activity Centre just 3 miles away.
Casual activities: There is an endless variety of walks within and outwith the estate; tennis court; 40 golf courses within 30 miles; horse riding at Glen Tanar; fishing and shooting by special arrangement.
Buses and Coaches:The drive and gateway are just large enough to take a full sized single-decker coach.
Dinner Parties: Capacity up to 56 if Great Hall is used or 80 if dining in 2 rooms. High quality private dinner parties are a speciality. More info...
Gardens: A variety of beautiful gardens ranging from a formal walled garden pleasance to woodland gardens and wild flower meadows make an excellent setting for fairytale photographs of weddings and other special occasions; also for barbecues and other outdoor activities. More info:
Marquee Site: This level terraced site adjacent to our beautiful walled garden has water, power and waste connections.
A single terrace is sufficient for a dinner/dance for up to 180 guests
Marquee over 2 terraces gives space for dinner/dance for >400
We can also erect a marquee beside the castle - max capacity for dinner/dance = 150.

Parking: There is sufficient free parking for any event. Some larger events may require parking attendant(s) for which a charge is made.
Team Building: See Activities: but also we find that we deliver Team Building simply through the shared experience of a visit or overnight stay at Kincardine Castle.
